Infertility is a distinguished problem nowadays, different types of infertility could be solved by most of the new techniques which all are offered for reasonable price in I.H.T so after reading this article do not hesitate for getting free consolation.
Economic growth, culture, and personal behaviors push families to have children, in some families the gender of the baby is important and they look for specific gender, for example, having boy is a must, all of this and much more can force people to look for different fertility solution to be able to have children.
One of the new techniques is IVF (In Vitro Fertility) which starts with taking one egg from a woman’s ovaries and a sperm sample from a man, then the egg will be fertilized with those sperm.
As a result of the explained procedure the embryo will be formed which normally then is placed back in a woman’s womb for growing.
If the couple’s eggs and sperms are of poor quality and have a problem, normally because of disorders in the number of healthy and good conditioned sperm or eggs or sometimes because of the couple’s age, then they can use donated eggs or sperms.
According to the guidelines that the national institute for health and care excellence (NICE) regarding fertility recommends, the IVF should be offered to women with age less than 43 who have tried to get pregnant through regular unprotected sex for 2 years, or who have had 12 cycles of artificial insemination.
Normally other infertility treatment will be assisting IVF like using host womb (for women’s that has a problem with the function of their womb), curing infertility in men and ….
Mostly those couples that have the problem for pregnancy should visit their general physicians first and take advice then in case they need fertility specialist, they can go to the next step with their GP referral.
Gender selection is one of the features that any couple can request from their IVF specialists. Treating infertility and selecting your desired gender can be done at the same time.

How you will start and how it will end?

Women’s natural cycle has to be suppressed with medication, then by the medication, they stimulate the ovaries to release more eggs than normal time. After these fertility specialists monitor the women to find out the best time for collecting eggs.
The fertility specialist uses a needle to collect eggs from the ovaries, this has to be done through the vagina. Sperm and eggs are placed together to be fertilized.
It usually takes 2 weeks after transferring embryos (1 or more) to the womb to see the result in the pregnancy test.

Records of live birth between 2014 to 2016 using IVF method:
  • 29% for women younger than 35
  • 23% for women aged between 35-37
  • 15% for women aged between 38-39
  • 9% for women aged between 40-42
  • 3% for women aged between 43-44
  • 2% for women aged over 44

Risk factors of IVF:

  • EP or ectopic pregnancy, which means the embryo is implanted in Fallopian tubes instead of the uterus.
  • Some researches show that IVF causes low birth weight
  • Some other researches show the small risk of premature delivery which, means the baby is born earlier than normal time.
  • Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome is another risk factor of IVF in which the ovaries are painful and swollen, the cause of this discomfort is HCG (human chronic gonadotropin and other injectable IVF medication that lead to producing many eggs).
  • Multiple Birth which is dangerous for both mother and baby, early labor could have happened because of more than one embryo which transfers to the uterus.
  • Stress is very common because you spend a lot of energy, emotions, and money on this procedure.

The number of embryos that can transfer

the number of embryos highly depends on the age and number of eggs for women who use their eggs. But it is different for people using donated eggs and genetically tested embryos.

Freezing services in IVF:

You can freeze your extra embryos in frozen stores which especially are set up for this function. Be aware that a few embryos cannot survive in those temperatures but most of them can survive.

Normal test that may be done several times in pregnancy:

Blood tests, as follicles are developing by stimulation medication, the amount of estrogen will increase as well. Progestogen will remain low until ovulation, the specialist observing the process by measuring the amount of estrogen and progesterone.
Vaginal ultrasound is another imaging method which uses in the IVF procedure.

Transfer procedure:

The embryos in the fluid will be held at the end of one catheter, the specialist places those embryos using this catheter through your vagina and by passing through the cervix into your uterus.
The final result will be visible between 12 to 14 days of the transfer process by taking your blood test and finding out whether you are pregnant or not.
Positive result: you will continue with one pregnancy specialist for further treatment.
Negative result: you will consult with your specialist for stopping the medication, or if you want to try again for another cycle, then you will go for some treatments or techniques to increase your chance for the second time.

Factors that increase your chance :

  • Maternal age: the younger women have more chance
  • History: women that had a pregnancy before IVF normally have more chance than women without any pregnancy. Women with experience of many times of unsuccessful IVF have less chance to be successful to get pregnant.
  • Women who are smoking have 50% less chance than non-smokers women.
  • The use of alcohol, excessive caffeine, and drugs can be harmful as well.
