In previous
articles on Brazilian Butt Lift , we have fully explained the process, but in this article, we will try to answer the frequently asked questions in this regard. Stay with us.
What is the difference between the Brazilian Butt Lift and the Butt Lift?
The butt lift is different from the Brazilian butt lift in several ways, one of which is that in the Butt lift, the surgeon makes the butt appears more rejuvenated by changing the shape and size of the butt which may include removing the loose skin and using liposuction. In some cases, silicone implants are used as well.
Brazilian butt lift, on the other hand, is a way in which fat is harvested from one area of your body usually from the abdomen, thighs, and flanks and injected into the buttocks to makes it look round. In this method, your body fat is used instead of silicone implants. Often enough fat is injected until the loosen skin becomes full, so no skin is removed. Sometimes patients need a mixture of both methods.
Do I need to have a specific body mass index (BMI) to be a candidate for a Brazilian butt lift?
BMI or body mass index is often used to determine if a patient is fit for surgery. Your body mass index is based on comparing your weight to your height and informs you of your body fat storage.
BMI which consider acceptable for BBL surgery is in the weight range between healthy to slightly overweight. If you are lean, you probably do not have enough fat to inject into your butt, and if you are overweight or obese, surgery can be very dangerous to your health.
While most surgeons use BMI, some surgeons find it unreliable. Because according to the body mass index (BMI) method, people with massive muscles like bodybuilders, are also considered obese while they do not have fat in their bodies.
How long does a Brazilian butt lift take?
Brazilian hip lift usually takes between 4 to 8 hours. The first part of the surgery involves liposuction and the second part involves re-injecting fat into the buttocks, each taking two hours to complete. It is necessary to remove fat impurities which also takes time.
Where is the required fat harvested from?
Most often, fat is taken from areas where there is plenty of fat. These areas usually include the back, abdomen, extra fat on both sides of the waist (so-called love handles ) and the upper thighs.
Does the Brazilian butt lift give me an Hourglass figure?
Since your surgeon will most likely remove fat from your waist and thighs, you'll find that these areas look thinner after liposuction. You will look a little thinner in the middle of your body, but you will have a larger, rounder hip; therefore, you get an Hourglass figure.
Should I Quit Smoking Before Surgery?
Yes, it is usually recommended that you quit smoking at least two weeks before and after surgery. With the transfer of new fat to the buttocks, blood vessels need to be formed in that area for tissues and fat to continue living while smoking has a negative effect on this process. The risk of infection can also be increased by smoking.
I have cellulite. Can the Brazilian butt lift make it worse?
Brazilian butt lift usually improves the appearance of cellulite (orange-peel skin), since the fat that is injected in the butt fills in the lumps and dimples in the skin and makes the skin smoother and firmer.
